Pasquale De Blasi, Jr., D.S.W.
Pasquale De Blasi, Jr., DSW, is a psychoanalyst in private practice specializing in psychoanalysis and psychotherapy of adults and adolescents, with offices in Manhattan and Northern Dutchess County, NY. His clinical practice includes subspecialties in adolescent gender and identity issues, depression, early childhood trauma, and chronic personality conflicts. He is a Training and Supervising Analyst of the Psychoanalytic Training Institute of the New York Freudian Society; a Fellow, Training and Supervising Analyst of the International Psychoanalytical Association; a member of the faculties of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, the Chinese American Psychoanalytic Alliance, and the Berkshire Psychoanalytic Institute. He is a member of the American Psychoanalytic Association, and the Faculty Psychotherapy Conference, Department of Psychiatry, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and is a senior candidate in Child and Adolescent Psychoanalysis at the New York Psychoanalytic Institute. He is a past member of the Ernst Kris Study Group, 2001-2008, moderated by Charles Brenner, M.D.; Training and Supervising Analyst, NPAP Training Institute, 1992-2008; Adjunct Medical Staff/Allied Health Professional, Internal Medicine Service of Northern Dutchess Hospital, 1989-2008, and the Columbia Memorial Medical Center, 1993-2000; Clinical Consultant to Bard College Counseling Service, 1990-2002, and the Louis August Jonas Foundation’s Camp Rising Sun (an international scholarship camp for teenagers), 1993-2000. He developed, organized and Chaired Psychoanalysis and the Humanities, Vassar College, 1993. He holds the Doctor of Social Welfare degree from Columbia University (doctoral mentor: Alfred J. Kahn, D.S.W.); the Masters in Clinical Social Work from Adelphi University (internships at Creedmore State Hospital and Hillside Hospital, Long Island Jewish Medical Center); and the Bachelor of Arts degree from Alfred University.
